Rylstone Sculptures Inc held its annual sculpture exhibition, Sculptures on the Hill, at the Rylstone Show on February 27. Sculptures on the Hill displayed works by the group from the recent Wood Symposium and local artists against the backdrop of Rylstone’s picturesque showground. Exploring new techniques that I used at the wood symposium, I felt that I needed to further try different timber and scales to see what developed. Using timber I had seasoned for some time I found that I had to really rethink my processes and the way I carved and finished these pieces. Still experimenting.
